Religion is a way for our parents to pass on their continuty and live immortality Serperates us as human beings Creates conflict; who is the dominant race/religion/god Even though religion creates conflicts with other religions they're built under the same "golden rule" principles, which deduces the fact that, its more then just belief its a way to indoctrine our lives by others in the name of god and promote differences amongst humans If you weren't the religion your parents taught you to be would you still believe in god? If so, which god/religion would you follow, and why? Are you even informed about that religion? Their beliefs? How does it differ from yours? I'm an atheist because I'm an indivdiual and I found it idiotic to believe in something so supposedly omincient and supernatural without any scientifc facts that it even exists. I'm open to the thought of there being a "god" or some form of higher being that was the reasosining to our existence, but unless he or she comes forward why shall I waste periods of my life worshiping what I can't see, taste, hear, or touch? I'm not an atheist because I wanna argue about the existence of god but to simply educate people that want to impose religion on to me simply because of my choice This is also evident to another argument about religion, which is that "religon creates controversy, wether it be amongst theists, or atheists, which leads to far worse scenarios such as killing, torturing in the 'name of god'" Atheists find their life sacred because once they're dead they will cease to exist because they don't believe in an after-life or a reward after death for having devotion Atheists have as much or more morals than someone who is religious because they're not confided to follow absurd laws that makes them judgmental of someone completely opposite of them in charactetisitics(sexual orientation, race, ethnicity religion, gender) It's not true that because of religion there is genocides, but it is evident that religion is one of the illogicial factors of genocides, and conflicts because of discrimination and less do with individuality.
