Character creation in the [[World of Darkness]] is relatively painless. In fact, it can be done in eight easy steps!

''Step One:'' //Choose Your Concept//
Concepts are the 'two minute spiel' summary of your character. If we were to sit down, and I were to threaten you with a knife and tell you to summarize your character in a sentence, that would be the concept. Even if it were an extremely run-on sentence.
Just remember; the concept is the framework for the rest of the character. Merits, Attributes, Skills, and the like are meat and skin, sure, but without a solid concept, you might as well be playing a rolling ball of meat.

''Step Two:'' //Select [[Attribute]]s//
[[Attribute]]s describe your character's innate qualities. Each [[Attribute]] is classed under two areas; the use groups of [[Power]], [[Finesse]], and [[Resistance]], and the trait categories of [[Physical]], [[Social]], and [[Mental]]. 
As a starting character, each character gets five dots to spend in one trait category, four dots to spend in a second, and three dots to spend in a third. Each [[Attribute]] starts with a single dot in it, and characters cannot surpass five dots in any one [[Attribute]] without supernatural assistance.

She lied.

There are many things lurking in the corners of the World of Darkness; walking corpses, people who drain life from you until you're a husk of skin, a snatch of a song that drives the listener insane; but for every supernatural horror, there's the mundane lurking around the corner. The world population is roughly at 11 billion; the cities are swollen, bleedng people like maggots. Humanity scrapes for the sky with each passing day.
