Hello, I'm ????, a.k.a. CodeMonkey, but all my friends here just call me CM. Many have said that I should post this as a topic, sooo, here goes; these would be a few of my favorites... My infamous "short list"(insert evil laughter) a.k.a. "the WALL", a.k.a. "Eye Suicide"! Out of the overwhelmingly large list of anime I've seen, these are some of the ones I really liked, my "recommendations". These thus far have been very well liked by those I have mentioned them to. I hope you enjoy them as well: Kara no Kyoukai: A phenomenally profound Horror/Psychological/Mystery/Drama/Supernatural/Romance, with great characters, animation and plot. its a series of 7 movies. One of the VERY few 10/10s I have ever given AND my #1 pick for BEST anime EVER. Heroic Age: A great Mech/Sci-Fi/Supernatural/Drama/Romance. Library War: Military/Slice of life/Drama/Comedy/Romance. A really good and different interpretation of Orwell's 1984 and Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451; with great characters and animation. The Third: This is a cross between Bleach/To Aru Majutsu no Index/Gundam. This won, " Best Anime series of the year" back in 06 or 07 and out of around 7-800 finished series I've watched completely, this one is my favorite, "All around" anime: It has multiple genres, Supernatural/Action/Adventure/Sci-Fi/Comedy/Drama/Mech/Romance/Psychological... An excellent story, wonderful characters and animation, while of course, the always must-have, happy ending. Lovely Complex: similar to Toradora, a little better in my opinion Please Teacher: a good Romantic Comedy with some funny ecchi too. Macademi Wasshoi: Really FUNNY, Ecchi/Adventure and Action with Magic! Please Twins!: This is kind of a sequel/side story to "Please Teacher" and is a Romantic Comedy with a little ecchi too. Spice & Wolf I & II: I'm not going to go into details, but out of several hundred anime series, this one is on my top 10 list. Goshuusho-sama Ninomiya-kun: Action/Supernatural/Roomance/Comdy/Ecchi Gun Parade March: A very good Mech/Sci-Fi/Drama/Romance Futakoi and Futakoi Alternative: These kind of don't make sense, even though they follow a sequel time line. You can also think of them as completely different stories with no correlation, because that's pretty much what its like. Baccano: Hard to describe without pages of details. Its just an interesting story, that's really cool, about immortals and criminals. Lamune: This one is so sweet, it almost rots your teeth, much like the drink its named after. Comedy/Romance Mamoru-kun ni Megami no Shukufuku o!: This is another one that is TOO sweet and will rot your teeth. It's an Action/Adventure/Comedy/Romance/Supernatural/ a little Ecchi too. Eden of the East: One of 2009's best, in my opinion, I can't wait till the movies come out! Detroit Metal City: This was one of the funniest! Chrome Shelled Regios: Fantasy/Adventure/Comedy/Drama/Romance This was really good, but I was kind of pissed that the romance was left unresolved and there are still bad guys left, they better make another season! Summer Wars (Movie) Kumo no Muko, Yakusoku no Basho or "The Place Promised in Our Early Days" also known as, "Beyond the Clouds, the Promised Place." (Movie) One of the very, VERY few 10/10s I have ever given! Mimi wo sumaseba "Whisper of the Heart" (Movie) Howl's Floating Castle (Movie) The Girl Who Leapt Through Time "Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo" (Movie) Wonderful Days (Movie) Laputa: Castle in the Sky (Movie) Porco Rosso (Movie): You won't understand what I'm saying unless you watch till the very end, but at the very end, if you pause it, you'll see the plane at the end of that island. So yes it was a very happy ending. Ocean Waves (Movie): Not happy until the very last minute of the movie, but still a good story. Origin: Spirits Of The Past (Movie) Armitage III and Armitage Dual-Matrix (Movies) Blue Gender: A really bloody and violent Sci-Fi/Action/Adventure/Mech/Drama/Romance, that has one of the most beautiful and wonderful endings ever! Yoake Mae yori Ruriiro na ~Crescent Love~: Comedy/Romance/Sci-Fi/School Life They are my Noble Masters: Comedy/Romance/Ecchi/Harem/Slice of Life Mezzo DSA and the Mezzo Forte Movies: Great action/comedy and a good story too. Tactical Roar: Sci-Fi/Action/Adventure/Drama/Comedy/Romance. I thought it was interesting and kind of sweet so I liked it. The Stars series, which is an awesome Space Opera/adventure/romance: Crest of the Stars OVA (beginning of the story, good to watch FIRST) Crest of Stars Banner of Stars I Banner of Stars II Banner of Stars III (an OVA movie) Full Metal Panic: All the series were good IMO. This is an Action/Adventure/Slice of and School life/Military/some Mech/Comedy/Drama/ a little Romance. This is one of those series/stories that I consider a full meal. Shigofumi Ballet (Letters from the departed): Supernatural/Fantasy. Really good and very touching. This Ugly Yet Beautiful World: a Sici-Fi/Action/ Romance/Comedy Lost Universe: Sci-Fi/Adventure/Comedy/Romance Kotetsushin Jeeg: Mech/Comedy/Romance/Ecchi To Aru Majutsu no Index: This one was just outright awesome! Inuyasha: This is a adventure/comedy/drama/fantasy/romance/historicxal. This ois one of my all time favorites. Zombie Loan: Action/Adventure/Comedy/Drama/Horror/Supernatural The unresolved open ending kinda pissed me off, but I still really liked this. Tokyo Underground: A Sci-Fi/Action/Romance/Comedy Ouran High School Host Club: Romantic Comedy/? Harem/School & Slice of Life and I think cross-dressing is a genre or theme too Samurai Champloo: Action/Adventure/Comedy/Drama somewhat historical, with a lot of sociocultural parody Happy World: I don't know why I liked this, I just thought it was really sweet. Akane-Iro ni Somaru Saka: NO! The sister was NOT blood related to the brother! This is a really good Action/Adventure/Comedy/Romance/Harem/Ecchi series! xxxHolic: I really loved this one. SaiKano: Action/Adventure/Drama/Romance/Sci-Fi Allison & Lillia: Even though the plot has more holes than Swiss cheese, its a sweet and touching adventure/romance. Shakugan no Shana: One of my favs., its Action.Adventure/Comedy/Romance/Drama/Magic/Supernatural/and a little ecchi too. Saiunkoku Monogatari: This is a very nice "Romance" with a great deal a historic references about society and the culture of the time period and tells a very interesting story. Clannad AND Clannad After Story: If you start watching, you will have to make sure you watch till the very end, otherwise you will be very depressed and very disappointed. I think this is one of the top 5 "Romance" animes made in recent years. Nodame Cantabile: Endearing and a very similar feel to it as Itazura na Kiss which was a wonderful romantic comedy and suprisingly, neither had any ecchi material. Kurozuka: Really intense and bloody, Horror/Supernatural/Romance. Its a very profound and interesting comment on the cyclic nature of history and eternal love. Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu: For some reason, I really liked this one, its a Slice of life/Romantic Comedy with Fan Service or Ecchi . It even had a very nice ending, but they have announced that a 2nd season for this is coming out in October. Karas: This won the Best OVA at the 2006 Tokyo Anime Award. You can see this in 6 eps or 2 movies; "The Prophecy" and "The Revelation". This is an exceptional, award winning Mech/Magic/Sci-Fi/Supernatural anime. It has a little romance, but that's more or less absent till the very end. Kemonozume: This one is a kind of freaky. Horror/Adventure/Drama/Supernatural/Romance Zero no Tsukaima: One of my top 5 fav. Ecchi series. There are talks of the new season or Movie coming out soon, I'm not sure, but I certainly hope so. Ray the Animation: Drama/Action/Romance/Sci-Fi Reideen NOT "Chouja Raideen": "Reideen" is a good Sci-Fi/Mech/Adventure/Romance, with a hint of Supernatural/Magic. The "Chouja" version is old and kind of stupid! Kenran Butoh Sai: I really liked this one. The plot was a little Swiss cheesy, but still an awesome Mech/Sci-Fi/Action/Adventure/Romance. Tokimeki Memorial ~Only Love~: If you can get past the terribly retarded 1st ep, its actually pretty good. My main reason for recommending this is to pay my respects, since this is considered to be the birth of the "Love", not "Sex", simulation game. God I feel old, I think the last video game I played was Mario Brothers or Sim City. Yeah, I don't really like video games. What's strange is the long time, like a decade, between the creation of the game and the appearance of the the anime. World Destruction: Ironically, the "good guy/gal couple and their side-kick" are the people trying to destroy the world. If you can get ep1 & 2 (those have a set of "bad guys", that are stupid looking little cats that annoy the hell out of you, but the rest of the animation is very nice, and those retarded cats are gone after the beginning), the story is actually quite good, even though the plot has about as many holes as a wind screen. Love Hina: A cute Harem/Romance/Comedy/Slice of Life Real Drive: Drama/Mystery/Cyberpunk/Sci-Fi with a little Romance too. Special A: Comedy/Romance/School life Video Girl Ai: This is a Romantic Comedy/Slice of Life and Sci-Fi. Btw, if anyone does decide to watch it, make sure you find a good version, because there are several; the original 80s' version, which kinda sucks, cuz the colors are bleached and the animation is faded. There are a few 90s' versions where the anime was remastered, both a VHS or re-televised version (early 90s) and a Disc version [late 90s), with subs or dubs. I thought the dub version was quite a bit better, maybe even a lot better, especially for the last ep, because some of the sub translations wete HORRIBLY BAD , but anyway, whichever way you go, make sure its a remastered version, cuz they are a million times better than the old faded versions. Oh yeah, and make sure to watch through the credits on the last ep. Black Lagoon: Action/Adventure/Drama/Comedy/Psychological Hayate no Gotoku: Comedy/Action/Slice of Life/Romance Hyper Police: Comedy/Sci-Fi/Supernatural and a little romance too Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai: Horror/Mystery/Sci-Fi/Comedy/Drama/Thriller/Psychological (VERY good blood & guts series) Sekirei : One of my top 5 fav. Ecchi series. This is all Action/Adventure/Comedy/Romance involving titties of all sizes and your typical geeky guy. Toradora: This is a cute Romance/Comedy/Slice of life. Its funny because it is also called "Tiger X Dragon" and the main reason for that is the two protagonists in the story, "Ryuu" and "Tiga". "Ryuu" means "Dragon" and "Tiga" is how the Japanese pronounce "Tiger". I laughed like hell when I learned that from an interview with the author, while I was researching to see if this was an anime worth watching. It also has to do with the fact that the Dragon and the Tiger, in mythology also represent Yin/Yang, the Male and Female entities of the universe destined to be together. (Yes, there are several other interpretations involving this, but I'd rather not start a theological debate about Male/Female, Light/Dark, Good/Evil, etc. LOL!) Shuffle : Romance/Comedy/Harem/Ecchi/Supernatural RahXephon: This was soooo cool! Towards the end, I almost threw a fit and was so pissed, because it looked like it was going to have a completely miserable ending and I had just wasted hours of my time. I was really happy, when it actually turned out to have a wonderfully happy ending. Mske sure you watch the final ep all the way to the end, passed the closing credits because it explains a lot. Da Capo: A nice and sweet romance and I like the variable endings Nadia-Secret of the Blue Water-:A Sci-Fi/Romance/Action/Adventuire that only gets better as you watch. It will amaze you how good it gets and how the story progresses. Eureka Seven series AND Movie "Pocket Full of Rainbows": One of my fav. Sci-Fi/Mech/Romances. Maison Ikkoku: Slice of Life/Comedy/Romance Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki OAV series: ALL the "Tenchi Muyo!" series are Sci-Fi/Adventure/Comedy/Ecchi/Harem/Romance. Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki OAV 2 series (Sequel) Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki OAV 3 series (Another Sequel) Tenchi Muyo! Ryo Ohki: Final Confrontations OAV series (Sequel to an alternate ending of OAV 3 and is not really romance oriented) Tenchi Universe TV series (there was also a Tenchi in Tokyo series and another couple spin offs but those SUCKED BALLZ) Isekai no Seikishi Monogatari: BEST Tenchi series EVER and if you only watch one Tenchi series, make sure THIS is the one! Tenchi Muyo Movie 1: Tenchi in Love Tenchi Muyo Movie 2: Daughter of Darkness (This one kind of lacks any romance but its part of the story) Tenchi Muyo Movie 3: Tenchi Forever (This one goes back to the romance genre and is a direct sequel to the first movie) Tenchi Muyo! GXP: This one is kind of "Fan Service" oriented. Karin: This one is really cute, sweet and funny, Its about a girl vampire from a family of Vamps but she doesn't suck blood she produces it. Its a good story. Blood+: Another Vamp. series and this one is awesome. Tsukuyomi Moon Phase: Romance/Comedy/Adventure/Loli-ecchiness. Another Vamp. series I really liked. Vampire Knight and Vampire Knight Guilty: Awesome and I hope there will be a continuation for this as well. Canvas 2 (There is also a 2 ep. OVA prequel to this, but its a little pornographic and its not important to the story.) Kujibiki Unbalance: This one is kind of hard to describe, even though the preliminary plot is simple, its gets kind of a strange quickly but I really liked it, only problem is you need to understand Jap. because the last few eps. are not subbed yet. There is also a 3 ep OVA series to this too, but its rather pointless if you watch the TV series. Yotsunoha: Romance/Comedy/School Should of been longer! Rosario+Vampire: One of my top 5 fav. ecchi series. There have been all sorts of announcements, leaks and rumors about the 3rd season. They said that the first 3 eps were done and it was supposed to be aired this season, but then there were all sorts of problems with the DVD sales, that they went to court about then finally won. It is said that its still coming out this year, maybe even this summer, but I don't know, I just hope it does eventually come out. Steele Angle: Ecchi/Romance/Sci-Fi W Wish Fantasy/Romance/School/Comedy Kimikiss Pure Rouge: Like Toradora, but in my opinion BETTER Shikabane Hime (Both series Aka and Kuro): Action/Supernatural (Really hoping for a third season on this oine) Kodomo no Jikan: Ecchi/Comedy/Slice of Life. You have to watch the unedited DVD version for the first season (its easy to find, just Google DVD uncut version), the OVAs and 2nd season only came out on DVD so you don't have to worry. Watch the uncut version, because the edited version has half the dialogue cut and even if you understand Japanese, its "Bleeped" out. That totally ruins the story and that dialogue is utterly hilarious, it also gives better character development and understanding. UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie: Sci-Fi/Action/Romance Comedy/Ecchi CODE-E: Sci-Fi/Romance/Drama/Comedy Mission-E (Sequel to CODE-E) Kimagure Orange Road: Action/Comedy/Drama/Romance/Slice of life/Ecchi Vandread: Sci-Fi/Romance/Ecchi/Comedy Nagasarete Airantou: Adventure/Ecchi/Romance/Harem/Comedy To Love-Ru: One of my top 5 fav. Ecchi series. Since its made by Xebec, its over, except for the OVAs coming out, because Xebec has NEVER made a 2nd season of any series they have ever done. Due to the popularity, there are talks that the animation rights might be sold to another company. Guyver: Action/Mech/Sci-Fi/Romance Ghost in the Shell: AWESOME, but the 2nd season kind of lacked a good storyline/plot. Black Cat: AWESOME Darker than Black: AWESOME Triangle Heart ~Sweet Songs Forever~ Pumpkin Scissors: Military/Action/Sci-Fi/Drama/Comedy and a little Romance too. I really liked it and I hope another season comes out, because the story was left somewhat unresolved. Ga-Rei Zero: Action/Drama/Horror/Supernatural Kanokon: One of my top 5 fav. Ecchi series. Outlaw Star: This was way better than Cowboy BeBop and unlike BeBop this had a happy ending! I'm dying for a continuation though. World of Narue Sci-Fi/School/Romance/Comedy Kiss X Sis: ECCHI/Romance/Comedy/School Life. All you need to know is that the sisters are NOT blood related to the brother and the rest is really funny. TriGun: This is a fav. of mine that came to mind, since the movie should be around soon. Princess Tutu: Magical girl/Romance. Quite a good work actually, with exceptional music, ballet scenes, even some cool battles and a good plot/storyline. NO! I am not gay! I have just seen waaaaay too many animes and now my only prerequisite is a happy ending. I no longer have the option to be picky about genres and themes (plus the fact that my girl friend loves anime too). Stellvia of the Universe: This was a Sci-Fi/Adventure/Romance/Comedy. It was one of the best Space Operas I've seen. (SpaceOpera=>Large spaseship fleets and shit like that,LOL!) Sky Girls: For the type of anime this is, Mech/Action/Adventure , the story and pace progress very slowly, but it still has a good plot and has very nice J.C. Staff animation. Since its the same animation studio the protagonist, squad leader, looks just like "Shana" from "Shakugan" after having a boob job. LOL! Chocotto Sister: VERY slow paced but amazingly heart warming, touching and funny. Emma: A Victorian Romance (I think the title says it all. Romance/Drama/Historic/Slice of life and as with all my recommendations; a happy ending). Tonagura: Romance/Comedy/School/Ecchi Midori Days: Romantic Comedy, very simple minded, but I thought it was really sweet and cute. Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan: Ecchi/Comedy =>FUNNY as hell! Zegapain: Even though this is very science or Sci-Fi oriented, it has a very profound psychological theme ("I think, therefore I am") with a lot of Mech battles and some nice romance. Chaos;Head: Real interesting perspective on theoretical physics, specifically, "Dirac's Sea", NOT "Diliac's Ocean" as it was mistakenly subbed and concepts of alternate realities. Its also a cute perspective on a few types of psychological conditions. Prism Ark: A great Action/Sci-Fi/Supernatural/Comedy/Romance Memories Off: One of VERY few, just romance stories that I liked! Hanbun no Tsuki ga Noboru Sora "Looking up at the Half-Moon": Beautiful but way too short. Negima!? (Both series with OVAs and the new ongoing OVAs too): Action/Ecchi/Magic/School Life Hanaukyo Maid Team (Both series):Romance/Comedy/Ecchi/Harem Maburaho: School Life/Magic/Action/Ecchi/Harem (I really liked the first season, I thought the 2nd was really weak, but the happy ending made it worth it for me) REC: Really great romantic comedy but waaaaaayyy too short! Mahoraba ~Heartful days~: Comedy/romance/Slice of Life with a little Drama. Pretty much randomness or no plot, but I still thought it was really sweet. Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya: Comedy/Mystery/Psychological/Sci-Fi/School-Slice of Life/Supernatural. First season and the Movie were GREAT, the 2nd season kinda sucked, but the Movie is AWESOME. Desert Punk: Action/Adventure/Sci-Fi/Ecchi/Comedy Brain Powerd: Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Military/Mecha/Post Apocalyptic/Romance/Psychological. This was great. Very similar to Evangelion, but WAY MUCH BETTER! Denpa Teki No Kanjo: Mystery/Horror/Psychological/Drama/Suspense/Romance. Great story about murder and love. Betterman: Action/Adventure/Comedy/Mystery/Drama/Horror/Mecha/Sci-Fi/Psychological. Kinda freaky and weird, but overall a good story with cool characters. Gokusen: Comedy/a little Drama/Slice of Life with some Action too. This was really funny and pretty interesting, about a chic, that's the head of a big Yakuza family, but she decides she wants to be a highschool teacher. It's a little like GTO! Mermaid Forest: Fantasy/Horror/Romance/Drama and there's also a little Psychological mixed in there too. All in all, a pretty interesting story based on existing legend, WITH of course, the happy ending I always like! ;D Ai Yori Aoshi: Comedy/Romance/a little Ecchi too. It's similar to Love Hina, but with much more or better Romance, a little less ecchi and a lot more, AAWWW hot sweet, Emo type stuff. It's also rather uneventful and very predoictable, but I still thought it was a nice little Romance, without a lot of the BS artificial emo drama that is typical. Ah My Goddess!: Comedy/Romance/Action/Magic/Drama. This is kinda an older fave of mine that started back in the early 90s with an OVA and continuing for almost 20 years with 2 50 ep TV series (the "Mini Goddess series was kinda stuuuupid though and the eps were short, but the other series and stuff were quite good IMO) and finally ending with an OVA called Flights of Fancy, a couple years ago. The manga started back in 88 and is still ongoing, so who knows maybe there will be more anime of this to come in the future. ??? Fruits Basket: Comedy/Drama/Fantasy/Romance. Make sure you watch the subbed version, cuz I watched the dubbed version a few years back and I didn't like it that much, but I recently watched the whole thing with subbs and it was wonderfully GOOD! Asura Cryin': Action/Mech/Sci-Fi/Supernatural/Comedy/Ecchi/Fantasy/Romance. This was probably the second best mixture of Magic & Mech that I've ever seen after "The Third; The Blue Eyed Girl". Good story, great animation I really enjoyed it. Last Exile: Adventure/Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Romance. Great characters and really good story with fantastic animation. Mouse: Action/Adventure/Comedy/Harem/Ecchi and lots of Fanservice > Great Teacher Onizuka (often just called GTO, which is one of my fave classic Muscle Cars too :P): Comedy/Drama/Slice of Life/Action. This is one of the Classics in my opinion, about an ex-Big time gang leader that becomes a high school teacher. Ayakashi: Adventure/Fantasy/Horror/Supernatural (Another good blood & guts series) Do not mistake this with "Ayakashi -Japanese Classic Horror- or -Samurai Horror Tales-", which is also a VERY good Fantasy/Horror/Supernatural anime series. Nishi no Yoki Majo - Astraea Testament (Good Witch of the West): Fantasy/Drama/Mystery/Romance/and a little Comedy too. A great story and cool characters, nice animation, just a little too short with only 13 eps. Noein: Adventure/Drama/Psychological/Romance/ Sci-Fi Dragonaut -The Resonance-: Action/Adventure/Drama/Fantasy/Romance/Sci-Fi (A.K.A. "The BOOB-onauts" or "The TITTY dragons". YES, this actually does have a plot, don't let all the titts blind you! :P LOL!) Strait Jacket: Action/Fantasy/Horror and Magic too. (Another one, I wish was longer or made into a full series, because its just a short OVA series presented as 3 1/2 hour eps or one 1 1/2 hour movie and I thought it had an awesome plot and storyline to it.) Tokyo Marble Chocolate: Romantic Comedy. This is just a really cute 2 ep OVA series, with each ep like 45mins long. It's a really sweet little romance story and each ep is seen from each person's point of view; the Girl's episode and the Boy's episode. I thought this was a wonderful story with lots of potential, my disappointment was that it didn't become a full TV series. Binbou Shimai Monogatar: Comedy/Drama/Slice of Life. Very heart warming and endearing. One of the very few stories that is like that, which I like, that has no romance. Ergo Proxy: Action/Adventure/Drama/Horror/Mystery/Psychological/Sci-Fi/Supernatural and a little Romnce too (Big fave of mine, even though the ending was left very up in the air and unresolved) Chobits: Fantasy/Sci-Fi/Romance/Comedy (My third favorite CLAMP animated series after Kobato and xxxHolic) Hani Hani: Operation Sanctuary: Comedy/Drama/Romance/Sci-Fi, Kindsa cheesy and sweet, with a plot like Swiss Cheese, but still interesting and enjoyable IMO. Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge "Wallflower": Romantic Comedy with some Slice of Life and/or School Life with a little drama too. Kind of obscure, but rather funny. Grenadier: Action/Adventure/Romance/Comedy/Ecchi. This was really good, but if you watch for no other reason, just watch it to see how the hero girl loads her gun. That has to be one of the best AND funniest scenes in all anime! I personally think that skill she has should be made into some sort of Olympic event. lol Claymore: Action/Adventure/Drama/Fantasy with a hint of romantic bonding. Awesome animation, with some kick ASS bloody action! Kishin Taisen Gigantic Formula: Drama/Mech/Sci-Fi/Romance Golden Boy: Action/Adventure/Comedy/Romance/Ecchi this one is VERY funny Abenobashi Mahou Shotengai: Really heart warming and terribly funny Action/Adventure/Comedy/Magic. Hakushaku to Yosei "Earl & Fairy": Horror/Magic/Romance/Comedy/Drama and a little Psychological too. Coyote Ragtime Show: Action/Adventure/Comedy/Sci-Fi. This is basically a cool Space Western. Kamichama Karin: Action/Comedy/Romance/Drama/Magic (another really cheesey, but VERY sweet one that I liked :P) Ranma 1/2 (one of my fave older series): Action/Adventure/Ccomedy/Romance and is also a gender bender or gender switch story. Yu Yu Hakusho: Action/Adventure/Comedy/Drama/Fantasy/Supernatural and a little bit of Romance too Kamichu: Slice of Life/Supernatural/Comedy/Coming of Age/Fantasy/ A little Romance too. This is about a young schoolgirl whom wakes up as a god. It's a little obscure, but really cute, pretty interesting and rather touching or heartwarming. Photon: The Idiot Adventures: Action/Adventure/Ccomedy/Drama/Romance/Ecchi/Sci-Fi (Uuhm, yeah, the title should pretty much spell it out for you, but IDK, there was just something I really liked about this short series :) Urusei Yatsura (another oldy that I liked and was also named one of the top three most popular anime to ever come out): Action/Comedy/Romance/Sci-Fi Macross Frontier: Action/Comedy/Drama/Romance/Mech/Sci-Fi AND Music. OK, the plot is rather bizarre with the whole music/mech and aliens thing, but I thought it was tierd together very well and I liked it. Arc the Lad: Action/Adventure/Fantasy with some Romance and a little Comedy too. Mahoraba -Heartful days-: Comedy/Romance/Slice of Life and a little Drama too. Sola: Action/Drama/Psychological/Romance/Supernatural Linebarrels of Iron: Action/Sci-Fi/Comedy/Mech/Drama/Romance Flame of Recca: Action/Adventure/Comedy/Drama/Fantasy/Romance/Supernatural H2O Footprints in the Sand: Comedy/Drama/Psychological/Romance/Slice of life/Supernatural Immortal Grand Prix, or IGPX: Action/Sci-Fi/Comedy/Drama and a little romance too Tattoon Master: Action/Ecchi/Fantasy/Romance/Comedy Iriya no Sora: UFO no Natsu: A rather short, 6 episode, OVA series that is basically a Drama/Romance/Sci-Fi/Slice of life-schoolish type anime. Kenko Zenrakei Suieibu Umisho: School/Ecchi/Romance/Comedy (pretty plotless, but I still thought it was cute and funny and I LOVE happy endings) Kurenai: Action/Comedy/Drama D.N.Angel: Action/Comedy/Fantasy/Romance/Supernatural Seto no Hanayome: Action/Magic/Ecchi/Romance/Comedy This starts off very nicely, but finishes rather weak. The OVAs at the end are nice though. Happy Lesson: Comedy/Drama/Romance (This was pretty cheesey and plotless, but I really liked some of the Emo moments and ha~has, but what made me recommend it, is the ending. I thought that was the BEST harem ending I have ever seen, in the last minute of the last OVA) Koharu Biyori: Fantasy/Comedy/Romance/Ecchi Ballad of a Shinigami: Drama/Fantasy/Psychological/Romance/Supernatural Girls Bravo: Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Ecchi/Romance/Comedy School Days: The one and only recommendation with a sad ending, but the ending was so unexpected and wickedly funny I liked it!
