Chapter 2: Battle Tendency
Al wakes up in his bed, recalling his first day in school as he goes by his daily routine.  It has been a week since that day, Al recalls his run in with Eric and how the atmosphere around his class of 8 has now calmed down a bit, but he still feels animosity from Eric. The Days went by with them learning about Varchar piloting, Augment Chips implanted onto Varchar users to Apply Improvements or an “Appforge” to their Varchars, As well as the ability to control your Varchar without a control console. The Week after the first day of class also signifies that the students can now officially challenge other Varchar users to a “Duel”. The winner of the Duel earns him a spot closer to the CLG Exam Finals and becomes his batch’s Graduate. 
Al stands at the school gates and looks up, like he always does. “Father... This is where my real trial begins” he whispers as he takes his first step into APC. His first step however brought forth his first duel, the moment he entered the gates a familiar voice echoed around the school entrance. “Al Goestar!!! I Challenge you to a Duel!!” with over a hundred students witnessing the declaration Al Accepts. 
-	Fight 2: Al Vs. Monty 
During the fight, Monty Broke Al’s Control Module, revealing that he had no need for it all along. That he already has an Augment Chip. The fight also attracts the attention of Al’s other batch mates, especially Eric who was supposed to Challenge Al to a duel later that day. The match ended in a Victory for Al, after Monty surrendered for some reason. The Fight also reveals Monty’s Shed Skin ability, he surrendered only to regenerate his Varchar for future fights, and he explains that having your Varchar destroyed in APC would forfeit you automatically from the CLG Exams.  Monty after this duel suddenly takes a shine to Al and follows him around. 
Eric walks around seeing Students partake in duels, all around the campus. He walks over to the Gymnasium and sees something spectacular. It was unheard of actually; it was a Varchar battle like no other. 3 Students against 1, and The 1 guy is winning. That’s not the most surprising factor though; the real surprising thought is that the Man is Using 3 Varchars!! It was His batch mate Emman Iya! After winning the match Eric sees’s Al running over to congratulate this man. Eric decides to just move along and plot his challenge some other time.  
However as he exits the Gymnasium, a Varchar is Blocking the door. “Where Do you think you’re going?” says Emman Loudly in a broad and proud voice. All eyes were now on Emman as he delivers his sentence. “Eric Brando, I saw your fight with all here. You Think I’d pass the chance to be the first one to knock you down? You may be Just a C Programmer, but could put up even with Hotshot Al over here. Now put up your dukes. Today WE DUEL!!!”
Eric smiles and laughs, as everyone including Al looked on in confusion. “WHAT’S SO FUNNY!?” Emman asked. “You Actually think you can stand in my way...” Eric Points to Al. “I Once told Al that he can’t stop my plans no matter what he does. So what makes you think you can beat me? You’re nothing but Hot Monkey compared to me, Eric! Ho? You think My C is a primitive Varchar? But your forgetting who uses this primitive Varchar. IT IS I, ERIC BRANDO! AND I ACCEPT YOUR DAMN CHALLENGE!!”
-	Fight 3: Eric Vs. Emman 
The Fight Started with Emman’s Primary Varchar. It was dominant for Emman until Eric Brings Out His Dual Blades. Emman Then Uses his C++’s ability to duplicate into 3 Varchar’s. Al and Monty were watching the fight, Monty explaining How C++ originated from C’s blueprint and that is why C is so limited and why C++ can easily win. However Al notices that Eric is Calm, unfazed, Arrogant even. He begins to remember his father who was also a C User, and how Eric’s nimble movements remind him of his father’s Old Fights. Emman was about to launch His Assembly Line Barrage, however Eric manages to Survive. With his Varchar heavily damaged and to Emman’s disbelief he prepares another Assembly Line Barrage to be countered by Eric. The match ended in a victory for Eric 
Al wonders on why he made that connection with his father and Eric. Unbeknownst to them both, Al’s Father was also watching from the schools camera’s intently. “I never thought this would happen... But I have no choice... Well Done Al...Eric... Your Potentials are limitless” he says to himself.
