“Please describe your interests and aspirations in engineering. What experiences have influenced you?” My family has had a healthy experience in the field of engineering. Engineering seems to be the best way for me to apply my interests and talents in mathematics and science. My father is an aerospace engineer and has always expressed a genuine joy and interest in his work. My uncle is a very successful chemical engineer. By becoming involved in technical engineering, I hope to live a fulfilling and rewarding life similar to the one I have seen while growing up in my home. Math and science have always been my favorite classes in school and something I have been interested in all my life. My father has been most influential in my decision to become an engineer. He sparked my love of math and science, and excellent teachers have challenged my abilities and fueled my interest even further. I always had the best experiences and was most inspired to succeed in Biology, Calculus, and Physics. Since engineering involves these areas, I hope to explore them further in a lifetime career. A wise man once said that if you do a job you love you’ll never work a day in your life. The interests of my childhood were as varied as they were intellectually stimulating. I have always had a fascination with robotics and computers. Countless hours were spent fiddling with a Robotic Invention kit, and I was able to build and program many devices of my own design. I also enjoy researching computer technology and programming on my own. Of course, my father is always there to shed some light on anything that I find either interesting or confusing. Because of my sincere interest in the various areas of engineering, it is my best career choice and one I aspire to enter in the future.
