Parajumpers is a line of practical, high-tech outerwear created in 2005 by designer Massimo Rossetti. Rossetti, a lifelong admirer of American workwear, found his inspiration in a bar in Anchorage, Alaska, where he met a serving member of the 210th Rescue Squadron, an elite U.S. military corps trained for extreme rescues known by the nickname “parajumpers.” A typical Parajumpers jacket is made of durable nylon, has a removable down-filled lining and fur-trimmed hood. Hooks and other hardware are based on parachute clips and other military details. Multiple pockets allow a man to carry a great deal of his personal items.
