1 Message by you on Tue, 3rd Dec 2013 5:22 pm Ever since thereabouts of a week ago, Steam has been freezing for 1-2 minutes at a time. The frequency of these freezes ranges anywhere from 15 minutes to 8 hours. Any Steam-based game I happen to be playing also freezes. This disconnects me from multiplayer games. The freeze can happen at any time that Steam is running, regardless of if a game is open, if I am chatting with someone, or simply viewing the storefront. This problem exclusively affects Steam. Any other games and applications are running completely normally. During freezes, any Steam related windows as well as the Steam game currently running will be shown as "Not Responding" in the Task Manager. After anywhere from 1 to 2 minutes, function will restore normally. According to people I've asked, I appear as offline during these freezes on Steam Community until the freeze ends, and then I am online again. I have tried renaming clientregistry.blob, flushing the config, updating Steam, and updating my graphics drivers. I would really like this problem properly diagnosed so that I can actually get back to playing multiplayer games. Thanks. 2 Message by you on Wed, 4th Dec 2013 12:28 am I have also tried removing the entirety of my steam directory besides steamapps, userdata, and steam.exe so that it can be redownloaded, to no avail. 3 Message by you on Fri, 6th Dec 2013 12:35 pm Games running still freeze with the overlay turned off, and also with Steam Community set to offline. I am positive that there are no applications interfering with Steam, at least according to the provided list, and I am also positive it is not a problem with Administrator mode, as I have the UAC turned off entirely. It seems to be generic, but here is an attached error log for when Steam freezes. I am hoping to narrow down the problem as much as possible.
