I'm not writing this with the aim of upsetting people or starting an argument. This is simply to state my views on the recent events that have occured on this server,
with the hope of some clarification. Please forgive me if some of my opinions or statements are not on the same page to you all. I'll try and make my views as 
honest and easy to understand as I can.

New Janitors: Promoting new janitors I think is a rad idea! Whilst our powers are limited, we provie help where we can to help bring to all players and also to bring down the 
work load on staff members wherever we can. We are all on here to enjoy ourselves, so balancing out the moderation activities is a fantastic thing. However, the choice of new Janitors,
I think was poor. Firstly, I had no awareness of there being new Janitors selected. If I wasn't on at the time where you were discussing the new crew or I simply didn't read the tracker thread, I apologize and revert
that statement. However I would have loved to have put in some input of my own too. 
I'm happy for all of the decisions to be up to you, after all, you know this server much better than myself, but an opinion would have been great.

MrsNicholson - I understand that she is Ramikin's sister and I know of her fantastic builds she's been helping out with over in the event world; They are truly epic. But who actually recalls a time 
where she has helped someone? I'm sure she has! Although I haven't seen it. I'm sure many people would agree with me there. We are here to help out, mop the floors and help ensure that
all MCAU members enjoy their time on the server. Recruiting someone that barely anyone knows of, apart from a select few staff and players; What kind of message is that sending? 
When she was promoted, I recall seeing players (regulars and Newbies) saying "Who is MrsNicholson?" And I just know they'll be thinking "Wow, Janitor musn't be so tough to get.
 I'm going to investigate into it." I can say that because I have had a number of people messaging me, asking how it is done. The book for Janitors was humerous, that's for sure. Although it did result in some 
unimpressed players. I don't have anything against MrsNich, I'm sure that she is lovely. I haven't really had anything to do with her, in fact I don't even recall having a conversation with her ever. What I'm concerned
about is if she is here to be a fantastic and helpful new addition to the MCAU staff; (Which I'm really hoping for) or if she is promoted solely because she's friends/family of select staff.

Caitbecmin - Cait has been on this server for as long as I can remember. She's been a great member to the community, always happy and enjoying herself. But again, when people are asking server related questions, or
when someone is mucking up and a staff isn't around to moderate, is Cait really going to be the first person to act? I'm sure she will now which is great, but before all of these promotions, would she? I don't think
so. I'm not going to bring age up, that's not my place to do so. 

Wizard-Arivan - He certainly wasn't the first to come to mind when I thought who was the next one to wear the stylish Janitorial uniform, although he has grown on me. He is making a solid effort to help players and staff, 
I was so impressed to see him doing a workshop on the new shop plugin on essentially his first day of being [J]. I did also notice Wizard helping occasionally on previous maps. Therefore I am happy to welcome Wizard aboard.

Trowzers - I think Trowzers is a motivated and lovely player, I wish her all the best if she accepts J position. 

Telf0rd - I grew to know him well in previous maps so I won't be saying anything about him, at the risk of being biased. 

I'm sure all of the 5 new Janitors will grow to be superb members of the MCAU Janitorial/possibly staff team, I'm just hoping that Janitor isn't changing into the rank for favoured players. One player I think down the track 
that will be an excellent J is Stealthmn, he's one of the most helpful and kind Non Staff members I've met. If there's a reason behind him not getting it, fair enough. Time will tell.

Nicknames: This has already been discussed a lot already. None of you I'd imagine would even want to think about brining this up again, so I'll keep it brief. It was very embarrassing to see Donators the other day ask 
why they have to pay a sum to get a nickname whilst a few don't. Excellent to see this has already been resolved. 

Dealing rudely with misbehaving players: No names required for this, they know who they are. Players can definitely get on our nerves from time to time, I understand that fully. I've witnessed a few times very recently 
where a staff member has literally started insulting the player for them to behave. There needs to be a better way to deal with them, rather than publicly insulting them.

The thing that has sadened me most is seeing very well respected players like Bearsgoroar in such an angry state over some of these issues, resulting in him resigning from staff. I wasn't for everything he said, particularly
the deliver it; Although a lot of his points, I was for. I agree with the response to him, that he should have brought his concerns up right away rather than let it build up. With all the stress he would have couped up from 
the 1.7 preperation and launch, the poor guy was probably just a ticking bomb. It's a very sad week for MCAU to see one of the newest and most well recognized staff member move on. But hey, that's life. 

I recieved an IRC ping from Aequoris on Monday morning explaining that he is also leaving due to dissapointment in the new J seleciton, he was upset to see all of the effort he provided on the server go unrecognized. 
Again, I'm sure there was a reason behind him not achieving J position, that's none of my business; but it just goes to show how easily we can lose loyal and well respected members of our community. 

I don't want to make this a longer Essay then it already is, if you have read thus far, thank you for taking the time to. As I said initially, I'm not here writing this to offend anyone.
