[spoiler="Message from Seaside"]Every single one of you missed the point. No, the point was not to have all the dialogue be obtuse and wordy. That would've been trivially easy. I even made it completely obvious with the manifesto about the Norman invasion and the sullying of the English tongue. In the Seaside release, good guys spoke Anglish (English with only words that are Germanic in origin, though I had to make exceptions for proper nouns and "pose" in the preview), while the bad guys used as many non-Germanic "foreign" words as much as possible (as in every noun, verb, and adjective except one use of "eye"). The point was to look like a xenophobic nationalist by being like "hey, look how silly and unintelligible the bad guys sound because they're using all these French/Latin/Greek words and look at how much nicer our heroines' pure speech is"). But no, you wouldn't know the difference between a Germanic word and a Latin-sourced word if it dragged you through a printing press.
