MOTIVATION 6.I Inform us a little bit about yourself and experience you have that could relate to your work in the Sheriff's Department: [altspoiler=Answer to Question 6.I (150 words+)] I spent the majority of my time at University working on my Masters, MCJ. During the tenure that I spent teaching foreign language and communications, I became extremely interested in criminal justice. I was often originally disturbed at the rationale behind some of the horrific crime logs and photographs that we studied in my sophomore years, but later began to appreciate the ability for one of the detective’s to piece together a crime through fragmented pieces of evidence. My time spent in various volunteer organizations as a youth as well as schooling has helped me to obtain a variety skills necessary to function on a day to day basis in the law enforcement field, such as problem solving skills, a capacity for multi-tasking as well as a sense of morality and common good. I feel as though through combination of these skills, I could begin a fruitful career in law enforcement with the San Andreas Sheriff’s Department. [/altspoiler] 6.II Why should we consider you for a position as a Deputy Sheriff Generalist? What makes you stand out compared to other recruits?: [altspoiler=Answer to Question 6.II (350 words+)]While I do not have direct law enforcement experience, I spent several years of my youth in various leadership and teamwork based organizations. The most productive use of my time was definitely spent in the Green State™, a volunteer crew of a few friends whom helped clean up county roads on weekends. We learned about a real-world sense of self-pride. Not just in abstract terms, but what it truly meant to be proud of ones’ self for accomplishing a real goal which benefit not only themselves, but the community as well. To take action for those who cannot or will not, and establish a sense of duty. During the time I spent with these guys I learned about the responsibility of one's promises to themselves as well as others, and feel as though I could relate my experience to a career in law enforcement. The leadership training I “endured” under the regime of several extremely hard-assed instructors has shaped my moral character to that of the standard which I believe is not only needed in this line of work, but should be required. To enforce the law, one must understand that it is not up to them to take discretion and ignore extreme criminal acts just because it may be difficult, dangerous or just sometimes plain inconvenient, but that the law protects the system as a whole. Our beautiful state of San Andreas is a finely tuned and well-oiled machine, and it requires law enforcement personal with this higher moral character then the average citizen to keep running so smoothly. In tandem with my collegiate background, I feel as though placement into an entry level position in the law enforcement field is the absolute best way to further my professional goal of becoming a member of the county’s most elite task force, the special weapons and tactics team. It is a goal that I will continue to strive for. My ability to work well with others, make or take decisive actions and keep a calm, level head under pressure makes me an extremely pertinent candidate for this academy. Thank you. 9.XIII Explain in depth why you would like to join this faction: [altspoiler=Answer to Question 9.XIII (120 words+)]I’ve spent almost five years roleplaying law enforcement on SA:MP. I’ve played various servers (All English based) and always found that I enjoy helping people far more than I do hurting them. I feel as though the police in a SA:MP server act as pseudo community guides, assisting players in indirect ways. We don’t give them the answers, but we show them the paths. I work extremely well with others and am an efficient asset to have on your team. I don’t goof around to an extent that will get me in trouble but I do enjoy having fun when it is appropriate. I would be extremely happy to work with the San Andreas Sheriff’s Department, and thank you for taking the time. When I was new to the server, I did not think that the RP was as strict as it is, and I behave like an absolute idiot. There was one specific incident where I ran away from the cops, not really thinking about my actions. It was over a year ago, and I do not behave like that at all on LS-RP anymore. I’m sorry I did it, and it won’t happen again.[/altspoiler][/divbox]
