create a Alert. You would first need to browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\LANDesk\LDClient\policy.sync.txt on a target system and find out an exact phrase that you could query when the policy sync fails. 

The next step would be to create a new alert and use the "Log File Monitoring" Alert. When you click new, click on "Log file configuration" and click on Manage. Input the phrase you found in the log in the regular expression tab and type a name. 

Next, choose an action and a time.
