[8:04:51 PM] Dequire: I was flying my tiny cargo ship back to my home base after raiding a business supply ship that was unmanned. I was going at max speed, in space, with the enertia dampeners off, meaning the engines weren't running and wouldn't until I turned on the dampeners.
[8:05:50 PM] Dequire: I was getting close to the base, so I hit the dampeners button. ..Or I thought I did. Nothing happened. I hit it twice more, still nothing. Suddenly I'm zooming at 104MPS at a tiny gap that's about a foot larger than my ship, all the way around.
[8:06:04 PM] Dequire: One one side, I have a very expensive, and fragile solar sail collecting power.
[8:06:15 PM] Dequire: On the other, I have a giant chunk of armor that outsizes my entire ship.
[8:06:20 PM] Dequire: ...And I'm not stopping.
[8:07:30 PM] Dequire: Now, I had originally aimed myself back from the business supply ship, basically at random while being as close as I could to the base. With that totally random shot, at maximum speed, I hit that gap and sail straight through without grazing a thing. I just about crapped my pants.

[8:08:40 PM] Dequire: It was probably the luckiest moment of my life. I gurantee I would have died if I hit that armor, and that solar sail is REALLY expensive.
