However, whenever he's being serious, he uses dual shortswords with extremely thin blades. ---Appearance--- Grey wolf with white underside. Brown eyes. long Green hair. Usually Styled into a mohawk, curved back to resemble a dragon/lizard's crest. Frequently wearing sleeveless shirts and baggy black jeans with chains along the sides. Has an assortment of wristbands with various punk slogans, musician logos, and skate culture engraved on them. Barefoot -- claims that shoes cant grip near as good as his own footpads. Has a single stud piercing in his right ear. Green, his favorite color. ---Backstory--- Kaid was a troubled kid. His parents divorced at a young age, leaving him as a single child with his mother. His mother, though caring, could never tear herself away from her recreational acitivities -- her nightlife, and her substance abuse. Kaid spent as much of his time away from her as possible, hanging out with friends from school, or just skateboarding around town. He delved deep into punk subculture, feeling as if he had found a group he "fit in with", people who shared similar life stories to him, and a genre of music that seemed to describe his own troubled soul. Kaid ran away from home at 15 years old, when he came home to find his mother hanging out with several unscrupulous guys, so high her words were incomprehensible. Fearing them, and horrified by stories of foster parents, he decided to disappear. He lived on friends' couches for two years, dropping out of school in the process. On his way to his next crash spot, Kaid was contemplating his life, and how terrible things had gotten. When all hope seemed lost, he stumbled upon a strange glowing creature in a dark alley... ---Guardian--- Name: Rush Type: Yellow Breaker Appearance: Quadrupedal yellow canine. Long, thin ears pointing back, almost reaching his tailbase. Tail is sleek and streamlined, much like the rest of his body. ---Personality--- There are only two things in life that matter to rush -- The only thing better than having fun, is having fun at breakneck speeds. To say Rush is fast is an understatement; as a yellow guardian whose prime focus is speed, one could say that he is the physical manifestation of velocity. He speaks fast, and uses hacker, gamer, and skater lingo that he picked up from the mortal world -- "The fun wr0ds that the fun people use dude!" He likes sugar, riding on Kaid's shoulder, candy, pretending to be a game announcer while Kaid is in combat, and video games. He is also obsessed with a concept he calls "True speed", though he breaks down into a jittering mess of happiness before he can really explain what it is. Though he has difficulty showing it, Rush cares deeply for both Kaid as well as Anastasia and Stonewall (Anastasia's Guardian). His course of action when those around him are feeling down is to keep a chipper attitude and hope it spreads -- he has great trouble dealing with sorrow and depression. ---Powers--- Rush is a very passive Guardian. Apart from the weapons he materializes directly to Kaid, the vast majority of his powers passively buff Kaid's skills, or actively assist him in doing something on his own. He has very little direct influence in battle. However, due to this passive nature, he has learned how to focus multiple powers simultaneously -- a difficult task for slower-minded guardians. His consumption of aether to fuel his excessive tendencies is only rivaled by his consumptioon of sugar. Afterburner: Rush's signature power. Rush channels aether to increase Kaid's speed, dexterity, and his ability to jump. The more aether he channels, the more pronounced the effect. Rush has this active to some small degree almost constantly, as Kaid feels slow and disoriented when he's not around to provide it. "So fast I'm addicting dude!" Flash: A very short range, controlled teleport. Rush can fire off many of these in quick succession, lending Kaid being "Like VISA man, everywhere you want to be!" Mirage: Less reality, more illusion -- Rush destabilizes Kaid and himself at a quantum level, causing images of them to appear nearby when in reality they are only in one location. Shockwave: One of Rush's only active powers. Rush flies a circle around Kaid at high speed, causing a massive shockwave that knocks anything and anyone nearby flying. True Speed?: "Oh man...
