>>766433 >Last ran for hours, until the Town, the place she'd called home for years, was just a small speck in the distance. >As she ran, and began to tire herself out, her mind began to resurface, finally retaking control of her body, and causing her to fall to her knees as she briefly lapsed in and out of consciousness, before staying awake and taking in her surroundings. >To her surprise, however... the man from the prison was here as well, standing patiently in front of her. It was like he almost... guided her here, for he couldn't have followed her for such a distance. >Smiling at her, the horned, three-eyed vampire holds out his hand, and helps Last up from the ground. >Her hand was still kind of shaky from her recent frenzy, and she was very thirsty, even more so than before she escaped town. "Glad to see that you've made it. I... am Hivemaster Lorent. And you are Last Stephens... and very, very ugly." >He shakes his head, sighing. >Meanwhile, Last looks incredibly offended and confused. Who the hell was this guy? What was he, even? "You are... hideous, but I've brought you here to fix that. We... will make you beautiful. More beautiful than you ever could become in your... current state." >Last tilts her head, looking awfully confused. ... And where's "here" exactly? "Why... 'here' is your birthplace. " >The man steps aside, allowing Last to look past him, to see... >Something more disgusting, awful and horrendous than she ever could have expected. >In front of her, filling the air with the stench of death and decay, was a massive pit, filled to the brim with dead, rotting, maggot-infested corpses of humans. There were at least a human, and all were in various stages of decomposition. Likely graverobbed, most of them, but some seemed unsettlingly fresh. What... the... fuck... The fuck is this?! >Last was clearly shaken, eyes wide in horror at the scene in front of her. Why did she come all the way out into the countryside like this anyways? How did she end up here? Why did this man free her of all people? >A million questions ran through Last's head as Lorent held out a hand to her, smiling charmingly as Last looked for a way to escape. "You seem... scared. Do not be. This is not a place of death, as it may seem to untrained minds... but a place of birth. A place of life. You see..." >The man pauses. "... We... are Baali. And you... a very useful potential member of our... family." >Last's eyes grew even more in shock. >Baali?! The lost 14th clan of the 13 Clans?! The one that was presumably as real as the boogeyman, or bigfoot? They existed? >They... existed. Vampires with the power of Satan himself... >And they wanted her... >She'd be lying to herself if Last said the offer for the power of legends wasn't a tempting one, for sure... and if she declined, she'd probably just join the bodies in the pit. >So, of course, Last takes the man's hand, trembling extremely hard. "Wonderful... I knew you were one we were looking for. Smart, strong... though, a tad bit tainted from the blood currently coursing through your veins... Though, we can fix that in a right jiffy." >Leading Last into the pit, their feet making disgusting squelching noises under their feet, as their shoes sank into the rotting flesh below, Lorent led her into the center of the pit. >The smell was almost unbearable, but Last was both too confused and afraid to react to it. "Now... Let us waste no more time, my child. The Ritual of Apostasy... begins." >Suddenly, the man, betraying everything Last thought would happen, opens his mouth and sinks his fangs into Last's neck, and begins to suck hard, draining her of her Vitae completely, leaving her nearly an empty husk by the end of it, her color having turned completely white, cheeks having sunk in, and all skin and bones. >However, she was still alive... barely. Of course, in a panic she attempted to fight back and scream, but her blood was removed from her body far too quickly to properly react, her body suddenly being wracked with the pain of hunger and fatigue. >The man throws her to the ground, into the pile of bodies and sneers down at her, holding his arms out at the sides of his body, as if he was opening himself up for her. >Looking up in horror, confusion and desperation, Lorent beckons to her. "Come! Sieze your life from me, and take in turn what I took from you! Take my vitae, and be born again! Do it... or perish." >Last's eyes open wide, her vision rapidly fading as she began to lapse into unconciousness, mouth open, trying to cry for help. >The man was offering his own vitae to her? Doesn't he know she could diablerize him by doing that? In fact... he could have done that to her as well while he drank from her. >But why didn't he? Did he have some kind of plans for her? >It doesn't matter! I need... to survive... L-Leeroy... Need to see him again! >With a sudden burst of willpower and desperation, the young vampire slowly lifts herself to her knees, crawling over the rotting bodies, slowly and clumsily making her way to Lorent as her state only worsened. >Clamboring on top of him, barely able to hold herself up on her feet, she takes a deep breath as she sinks her fangs into the middle-aged man, the tiny taste of blood already filling her with renewed energy. >She sucks hard. Harder than she ever did before, struggling to feed her starving body. As she drinks from him, her color returns, her body fills out, and her mind is once more alert. >She fully intended to drink him dry... but something suddenly stopped her. >A massive, unbearably painful pang of agony suddenly overtook her body, causing her to gasp and release her hold from Lorent, tumbling back down into the pit, convulsing and twitching in absolute anguish and torment. >She opened her mouth to scream, but all that came out were the pained grunts and squeaks of someone who's entire body was reforming itself rapidly, down to the very soul. >What did he do?! What the... What?! >Finally, she manages to gather her breath for one, mighty scream. AAAAAAAAGH! OH GOD! AAAH, MAKE IT STOP, PLEEEEASE! IT HURTS! IT HURTS SO MUCH! STOP IT! PLEASE, STOP! >Her screams of agony echoed through the plains as Lorent simply looked down at the girl in amusement, holding both his hands between his back and looking no worse for wear. He didn't seem particularly amused, but he didn't seem particularly bothered either. >Instead, he just waited as Last's body and soul were morphed into something different altogether. No longer Gangrel. >Her patches of feathers fell out, her beastlike eyes changed to something much more normal, and her very soul was changed from that of an animalistic hunter, to that of something else. >As hours passed of Last screaming, rolling and convulsing in pain, it finally seemed to die down as her screams quieted, turning into exhausted pants and gasps. >Laying down at the center of the pit, she lays on her back, eyes wide in shock and confusion still. By far, whatever that was, it was the most painful experience imaginable for Last. But it seemed to be over, finally. >Striding down into the pit, Lorent smiles at the girl, holding out his hand patiently and kindly. >Of course, Last ignored it, looking at him with disgust and shock. What... What did you fucking do to me... you bastard? Why... ? >The man simply responds by crouching down next to Last and helping her sit up straight, patting her shoulder in reassurance, before pulling her into a sudden, loving hug. "Worry not, child. You... have simply joined our family. With that pain, you have cast aside the shackles of your Gangrel blood, and have become one with the Hive of Baali." >Releasing her from the hug, he grabs her shoulders and stares into her still shocked eyes, smiling proudly. "Your family welcomes your rebirth..." >Patting her on the shoulder once more, he helps her to her feet, still shaking in fear and shock from the agony suffered mere moments before. "... My cursed Childe."
